Who This Program Is For

Being Qualified Is Not the Same as Being Competitive

Meeting an airline’s minimum qualifications makes you eligible to apply. It does not make you a competitive candidate.

Airlines can receive enormous numbers of applications for relatively few flight attendant positions. American Airlines has reported receiving more than 130,000 flight attendant applications in a year, while selecting about 2 candidates out of every 125 applicants. In one documented Delta hiring cycle, roughly 150,000 people applied for about 1,200 flight attendant positions, fewer than 1 out of every 100 applicants.

And even the less competitive airlines are still competitive. Smaller airlines may receive fewer applications, but they also hire fewer flight attendants. Charter airlines may have smaller applicant pools, but even smaller hiring needs.

You can meet every minimum requirement and still fail to move forward. You may not know where you are weak, what matters most in the process, or how your entire candidacy is coming across.

One Missed Opportunity Can Cost You Years

Getting TBNTs should not be part of your strategy.

The cost of getting it wrong is not just one disappointing day. One missed opportunity can delay your flight attendant career for months, and often years.

A rejection may come with a reapplication waiting period. But becoming eligible to reapply is not the same thing as having another opportunity to apply. When that waiting period ends, the airline may no longer be hiring. The next opening may not come again for a year, two years, or longer.

That means one missed opportunity can delay the start of your seniority, your earning progression, your schedule flexibility, your base options, your vacation choices, and the career you have been working toward.
